Monette Mouthpiece

I think Monette Mouthpieces are one of the most expensive mouthpieces in the world.

Because of their price, many people hesitate to try that mouthpieces.
And the old monette mouthpieces were too heavy.

But these days, we can get monette mouthpieces have both light and heavy weight style almost all models.

I have three monette mouthpieces for euphonium.
And my wife has a lot of them for trumpet and cornet.

I can say these all mouthpieces are awesome.
They have something special sound which I never played before.

I recommended monette mouthpiece to my friends.
They liked the sound very much, but price.

The figure on the below shows two monette mouthpieces.
The mouthpiece on the left is TS-6 and right is TT-5 with medium shank.
I ordered TT-5 with medium shank.

I have been playing TT-5 for two years.
I think this is the best mouthpiece I have ever played.

Víctor Ferragut

He is a young euphonium player who has very good skill.

Curnow's Symphonic Variants is definitely one of the most difficult piece for Euphonium.

He, however, played very well in the concert of his graduation.

Symphonic Variants(Part I)

Symphonic Variants(Part II)

Amazingly, he played other concertos in this concert.
Those were similarly good performances.

Recently, he added an video which he played Fnugg on euphonium.
You can hear another good performance here.

I hope he will continue his euphonium playing.

Marzan Euphonium

I have been playing Marzan Euphonium since I came to Canada.

My marzan is a compensating euphonium and later model.

There is a big difference between early model and later model.
That is a 4th valve tube direction.

Can you see the difference?

early model
early front early back

later model
後期正面後期背面

The early model is vely unbalanced instrument because of the tubing.
May be it is the biggest reason why Marzan changed the design.

Stéphane Labeyrie

He is one of the YFB-821 users.
He plays tuba so lightly and easily.

His playing can not imagine us that he play the tuba.

He plays tuba in Octobone with Michel Becquet.

YFB-821

Do you know something about YFB-821 which is one of the greatest small tuba in the world.

I ordered few months ago and I decide the specifications of its. It will take 6 months! to get the horn.

The figure showing above is YFB-821, but 5 valve is left handed.
Normal spec is right thumb.

The first article

I'm a amature euphonium player, and English is not my first language.
